I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and professional coach, registered with both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). Alongside my therapeutic work, I bring over 30 years of professional experience across education, safeguarding and mental health services.
In my private practice, I work with adult clients, offering a safe and supportive space to explore a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and the impact of past experiences.
I also work in a leadership role at Place2Be, a leading mental health charity providing in-school support to improve the emotional wellbeing of students, families and staff. This role involves overseeing the operational delivery of school-based mental health services across Sussex.

I am a qualified, BACP and BPS registered counsellor offering a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space where you can explore the difficulties you face. My approach is person-centred. I believe you are the expert in your own life and already have the inner resources needed to create change, even if these currently feel out of reach.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer genuine understanding, empathy and unconditional acceptance, helping you feel safe, heard and valued. Many clients I work with struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship difficulties, challenges at work, trauma and the lasting impact of earlier life experiences.
Counselling is not about advice but about creating the conditions in which you can reconnect with yourself, develop self-compassion and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Alongside counselling, I also practise as a professional coach. My coaching work is grounded in a collaborative, client-led approach, providing a structured and reflective space to help you clarify your goals and take the steps needed to achieve your aspirations.
My practice is located at The Paul Bower Centre 123 Church Road Willesborough Ashford, Kent TN24 0JQ. This is easily accessible from Wye, Charing, Tenterden, Folkestone, and all surrounding areas.
My private practice runs on Saturday mornings and is based in Ashford.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held on a weekly basis.
